Trading hours
The financial centre with the largest currency turnover on the planet. The local times never change through the year; their UTC equivalent does, and that is the column worth checking if you are watching from another country.

The exchange trades Monday to Friday. It does not open at weekends.
Time zone and daylight saving
London observes daylight saving. Clocks move on 29 March and 25 October 2026, so the local opening time never changes but its UTC equivalent does: UTC+0 in winter, UTC+1 in summer. That one hour is why a session that lines up neatly with yours in January can start an hour earlier or later in July.
