Because this zone never shifts its clocks, both columns hold all year. What moves is the gap to the markets that do change their time.

The exchange trades Monday to Friday. It does not open at weekends.
Time zone and daylight saving
Shanghai runs on UTC+8 and does not change its clocks. The local opening time is the same every day of the year, but the distance to markets that do change shifts twice a year: for a few months Shanghai is an hour closer to Europe and to North America than it is for the rest.
The lunch break
Trading stops between 11:30 and 13:00 local time. This is a real halt, not a quiet spell: orders do not match, and the price you see at 11:30 is the price you will still see at 13:00. Several Asian exchanges keep this split session, which is why a chart of the day shows a genuine gap rather than a flat stretch.
Which markets are open at the same time
Overlaps are where the volume is. Two exchanges trading at once means more participants pricing the same news, and orders that move the price less. The figures below are calculated from the official hours, not estimated.
